I haven’t really posted anything to the blog recently and that is because I have started a new job. Previously, I had worked in an office environment for around 5 years. The job allowed me to spend all of my time on the computer and a large proportion of that time could be spent on the blog. There just wasn’t much work. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that but if you don’t go to the gym and keep active it can ruin your health. I am a perfect example of that. Combined with the fact I love my food, I can safely say that I don’t lead a healthy lifestyle at the moment. I hoped that this was something that might start changing. Recently, I haven’t posted many reviews to this blog. For a number of reasons, mainly that I am busy doing the same stuff I do most days and because I usually have to wait until payday before I can afford to eat out. I have been trying to find more businesses to review from in and around my area. I hoped to go out last weekend and find something really good. Something that would excite my readers and although I believe I did find something really brilliant with Elm Tree Pies and The Cherry Tree, it certainly was not Retro Diner. This is my ‘review’ of Retro Diner in Abergavenny.
This will be the first negative review I have written. I almost don’t want to post it but for what purpose? Even the Twitter page says, “Trying everything once and telling you all about it. Good or bad!”. I would only be doing you a disservice by not telling you about my disappointing experience. Continue reading Retro Diner: Abergavenny
Photography is a big part of my life. I wouldn’t consider myself a phenomenal photographer but It is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I grew up photographing anything and everything. From inanimate objects around the house to salt plains in Tunisia and portraits, there wasn’t much I didn’t photograph. That changed.

I have decided to add a ‘Personal Blog’ section to the website. Nothing major but sometimes I would like to talk about something other than food.
Food remains the primary focus of The Munch and Tattle. I don’t want the blog to lose it’s identity and change into something else but you should expect a few extra bits now and again. Perhaps adding a bit more personality to the blog and letting you know a bit more about me. Don’t know what yet. Might include photography. Might include travels. I will see how I feel 🙂

Recently I had a rather extraordinary trip to Abergavenny with my daughter. Unusually, it was a very bright and sunny day and I was definitely in the mood to find something great for you guys. Unfortunately, one of my discoveries was very disappointing. The other two turned out to be pretty great and in this post I am going to tell you about The Cherry Tree. We can’t get enough of street food in Cardiff. Only yesterday I posted some news about a brand new event called Street Food Warehouse (which you can read about here) and today I’m bring some more exciting news.
In recent years Cardiff has seen a huge growth in the popularity of street food and for good reason! Cardiff is really starting to thrive in terms of street food and the growth is showing no signs of slowing down. It’s a new year and I have been anxiously awaiting news about what we can expect in 2015.
Street food. We all love it and the thought of visiting London for the chance to try the extensive range of street food that it has to offer is an exciting one. Unfortunately, the practicalities of doing that can sometimes make it difficult. I live in Wales and although I would love to go, travelling to London would be expensive. For my regular street food fix, it is simply not an option.
For those of you in Wales and in similar circumstances, I have good news!
