Happy Birthday to me… Early Gift.

Yes it’s coming up to my birthday and most of my wish list items are BBQ related accessories or equipment.  I really am very easy to buy for.  Ordinarily my parents are quite happy for me to make suggestions and then they will pick something for me that they would like to buy.  This year however I have had an early surprise gift that I could not be happier with.

My parents know that I love BBQ – But this all began with a great passion for cooking.  I would not claim to be an excellent cook but I really do enjoy cooking and of course eating.  In the past few years this has developed into an even bigger enthusiasm for cooking outdoors.  Obviously, there are certain pieces of equipment that a cook needs whether they are cooking indoors or outdoors.  One of those essential items is the knife.  I have bought myself some reasonably good knives in the past but never have I owned a truly outstanding knife… until now.

I am now the proud owner of a beautiful 6″ Flint & Flame Chefs knife.  Retailing on their website for £115 it’s certainly the most expensive knife I have ever owned but after the first try I know that it is far superior to any knife I have owned before.  Admittedly, I haven’t had many opportunities to use it the few days that I have owned it.  I almost feel as though I should be saving it for special occasions but I know that would be a shame.  It just looks too good!  The company also seem to be keen on their outdoor cooking which is great.  As well as producing these fantastic knives they also sell Monolith Kamado BBQs.  Definitely worth a look if you’re looking for a new knife.
