Not too long ago I released information about both Street Food Warehouse and Depot Cardiff‘s new events. Although I am a little behind releasing information about the latest I would still like to share what information I have with you all just in case you have missed it.
Street Food Cardiff – Previously at The Depot Has joined forces with NoFit State to create a brand new pop-up event called ‘Street Food Circus’. Street Food Circus will have a moveable feast of artisan food traders, vintage trailers, chefs and Mycologists setting up in the old stable yard, John St, directly behind the NoFit State Circus Building, just 2 minutes walk from John Lewis and 5 minutes walk from Cardiff Central train station. A mini-outdoor food village complete with a circus big top for communal dining, 12 rotating atrisan food trucks, a cocktail bar, outdoor BBQs and the best local craft ales and beers around. This is sure to be an experience that lovers of food cannot miss and it will definitely bring the street food community together for something unforgettable.

Street Food Cardiff had this to say:
“We created our first food pop-up back in 2012 our next event “Street Food Circus” is the culmination of 3 years hard work building a street food scene right here in Cardiff from scratch. Our winter warehouse event at the Depot proved there is a big appetite for Street Food in the City we wanted to change
It up a gear and do something a bit different for spring. We didn’t want to be stuck inside a warehouse when you can sit al-fresco, in a circus tent, or under the stars. The site we’ve found is perfect it’s in the heart of the City, it feels really urban and fun, trains roll past overhead, but most importantly it has that feeling of discovering something secret. We think there are many similarities between the Circus and the nomadic life of a Street Food trader and are really excited to be working alongside NoFit State Circus to deliver our outdoor street food festival village, the focus of our events is that they are for everyone, were about creating quality exciting and surprising dining experiences that are deliciously different”
Simon Thomas (Street Food Cardiff Organiser)
“The Street Food Cardiff pop-up at the Depot was one of the city’s food highlights of last year. It created a real buzz around the city and brought a terrific vibrancy and creativity to the capital’s food scene. I’m looking forward to visiting their new circus-themed venture. Creating a sustainable street food venture in the city adds real value to Cardiff for tourists and locals alike.”
