I haven’t really posted anything to the blog recently and that is because I have started a new job. Previously, I had worked in an office environment for around 5 years. The job allowed me to spend all of my time on the computer and a large proportion of that time could be spent on the blog. There just wasn’t much work. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that but if you don’t go to the gym and keep active it can ruin your health. I am a perfect example of that. Combined with the fact I love my food, I can safely say that I don’t lead a healthy lifestyle at the moment. I hoped that this was something that might start changing.
Starting Wednesday the 1st of April, I started working for the family business. Supplying amusement machines and equipment to pubs etc around South Wales – there is a lot of heavy lifting and generally more activity in my day to day life. More activity + More calories burned = Healthy lifestyle, right?
Maybe not. Although I expected to be out and less likely to snack at my desk, I have been spending a lot of my time travelling, visiting pubs etc around South Wales. Who knows what I will find? The pub I am visiting might have a great menu. The pubs and restaurants on the way to the pubs I am visiting might have great menus. Although this may lead to more discoveries that I will be very happy to share with you, I may not be leading a healthier lifestyle, after all. Even if I do not find great restaurants on my travels, the work is tiring and I fear that I may start eating more junk food because I am out or because I’m too tired when I get back.
Hopefully, the new discoveries will be worth it and I’ll have to admit that the gym, is the best way to eat the food I like and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Or… more than likely…. I’ll continue leading the unhealthy lifestyle I currently enjoy 🙂
I’ll just have to see how it goes 🙂
